VMware works hand-in-hand with AWS to assist enterprises in accelerating digital transformation – Gamania CloudForce is their first local partner to provide complete VMware Cloud on AWS technical services together

The software giant VMware collaborated with AWS and held the “Digital transformation Cloud first” convention today to announce that VMware Cloud on AWS is now officially available in the Taiwan region to help enterprises accelerate migration to cloud. VMware’s global vice president and president of the Greater China region Bernard Kwok stated that VMware Cloud on AWS is an important result of the strategic alliance between the two parties. Its official launching in Taiwan is a big boost for the hybrid cloud service management tool that has been long anticipated by enterprises in Taiwan.

VMware Cloud on AWS is a hybrid cloud service created according to needs; it is delivered, sold and supported by VMware and its partners. VMware Cloud on AWS allows customers to execute different types of applications under hybrid environments with consistent VMware vSphere while fully utilizing the wide range of AWS services.

VMware indicated that this service helps customers quickly migrate from local data centers to cloud and has seamless workload portability between private and public clouds. The built-in management tools can also promote flexible and almost non-disruptive operations of enterprise cloud applications. Taiwan customers can use this service through VMware Cloud on AWS that now already provides service in Tokyo, Singapore, and Sydney.

VMware’s global vice president and president of the Greater China region Bernard Kwok stated that the official launching of VMware Cloud on AWS in Taiwan will effectively lower the total operational cost for enterprise cloud management, especially the cost for migrating applications between public and private clouds. Corresponding cloud service contents can be selected according to the needs for enterprise usage.

VMware also started cooperating with partners to help traditional operation modes that provided enterprise software licensing services transform into promoting cloud services. VMware currently provides complete VMware Cloud on AWS technical service together with its first wave of 12 local partners, including CHIEF, Chunghwa Telecom, Gamania CloudForce, eASPNet, FETnet, Genesis, Odysseus Digital, SYSCOM, SYSTEX, Taiwan Mobile, TSTI, and WiAdvance.
